Lydie began working as a guide at the Kigali Genocide Memorial in September 2010. As a Guide, Lydie feels privileged to welcome guests and provide tours and talks to international and local visitors. Through her work, Lydie feels able to contribute significantly to raising awareness on the genocide and on how to eradicate genocide ideology.
She also enjoys discussing peace building programmes and genocide prevention. Lydie graduated from Kigali Independent University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences. She will soon complete her Master’s Degree in Development Studies.
