The Staff of Axiom Networks Ltd have visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial and paid respects to more than a million people killed in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

The delegation started by laying wreaths on the burial place where more than 250 000 victims of the genocide against the Tutsi are laid to rest. They also observed a minute of silence to remember them.

The group continued their visit with a tour of the memorial’s exhibits to learn about the history of the Genocide and its impact to the society until today.

After the visit, Bonaventure Bahati, one of the employees at Axiom Networks, shared a message of comfort to the survivors of the Genocide and encouraged them to have hope for their future.

“I would like to encourage survivors of the Genocide to be strong and take advantage of the gift of life they have and do all they can to live happily. It is possible to work hard and strive for the better future for themselves but also for their country,” said Bonaventure

Aimé Bizimana, the Chief Operating Officer at Axiom Networks said that visiting this memorial is an educative experience because they have learnt a lot on the history of Rwanda.

“Through visiting this memorial site, we learnt a lot concerning the history of our country. Now after the visit we commit ourselves to take part in fighting genocide ideology and preventing what happened in the past to repeat again,” said Aimé.
