Kigali Genocide Memorial to host Ubumuntu Exchange on Supporting One Another During Kwibuka23

Posted in News

The Kigali Genocide Memorial would like to invite you to attend an upcoming Ubumuntu Exchange discussion on how we can support one another, and especially survivors, during the Kwibuka commemoration period.

The event will gather associations and organisations working in trauma healing and counselling to share their experience with the audience. It will be a great opportunity for participants to ask how to deal with trauma cases and how to provide support to friends and family during Kwibuka23.

Panellists include Dr Yvonne Kayiteshonga, National Mental Health Director at the Rwanda Biomedical Centre / Ministry of Health, Amos Furaha, Project Manager at Live Again Rwanda and Naphtal Ahishakiye from Ibuka – the umbrella group for Survivor Organisations in Rwanda.

The event details are as follows:

Name: Ubumuntu Exchange – Supporting One Another During Kwibuka23
Location: Kigali Genocide Memorial – Ubumuntu Room
Time & Date: 6-8pm on Thursday 30 March 2017

We look forward to welcoming you for this important and timely discussion.
