Kevin Hart visits the Kigali Genocide Memorial

On 19th July 2023, the American Comedian and Actor, Kevin Hart visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial to pay his respects to the more than one million victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi. 

To begin his visit at the memorial, Kevin Hart laid a wreath on the burial place where more than 250.000 victims of the genocide against the Tutsi are laid to rest. 

Guided through the memorial’s exhibits by Dieudonné Nagiriwubuntu, Manager of the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Mr. Hart got explanation on the history of division in Rwanda, the causes, reality and consequences of the Genocide against the Tutsi and Rwanda’s efforts to foster a shared sense of national identity.
