Poland Minister of Finance, Hon. Magdalene Rzeczkowska visits Kigali Genocide Memorial

On 17th July 2023, Kigali Genocide Memorial welcomed the Minister of Finance in Poland, Hon. Magdalene Rzeczkowska who came to pay respects to the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi. 

Minister Rzeczkowska laid a wreath on the burial place where 250,000 victims of the Genocide are laid to rest. She also observed a minute of silence in honour of more than one million victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. 

At the end of her visit, Minister Rzeczkowska wrote her heartfelt message in the memorial guestbook. 

“It is a very important place to remember, to heal and to build new future. I pray for those who died and for those who survived. I congratulate Rwanda on its achievements in building united nation, build on strong fundamentals. We share similar past and also similar prospectous future.” She wrote.
