ADEPR GATSATA youth visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial for Kwibuka22

50 youth from the Pentecostal Church of Rwanda (ADEPR) Gatsata visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial and paid to remember the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

Led by Pastor Gerard Safari, leader of the ADEPR Gatsata church, the youth toured the memorial’s exhibitions to learn about the history of the Genocide and the importance of fighting Genocide ideology. The group also laid wreaths on the memorial’s mass graves, which are the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the 1994 Genocide in Rwanda.

“We brought young people to learn the history of the Genocide since many of them were not born before the Genocide. [….] Lessons taken from here will help the youth to take a stand against genocide ideology and to say never again.” Pastor Safari Gerard, ADEPR Gatsata church.

The Visit of ADEPR Gatsata which is located in Gatsata, Kigali city, was also to confirm the commitment of Christians community in fighting against genocide Ideology.
