A delegation of Sudanese Immigration officials came to visit and pay respects to victims of the genocide against the Tutsi. The delegation was led by the Head of Passports and Civil Registration Corporation in the Ministry of Interior, Lt General Aroud E. Dahig.

Arriving at the memorial, these officials laid wreaths on the burial place where more than 250.000 of victims are laid to rest. They also observed a minute of silence to honour them.

They continued with a guided tour of the memorial’s exhibits to learn about the history of Rwanda before, during and after the Genocide. They also learnt about the journey Rwandans have taken towards unity and reconciliation.
They recognized and saluted the efforts by Rwandans to restore the nation after one of the darkest chapter in the history: the Genocide against the Tutsi.

At the end of the visit, Lt General Aroud E Dahig wrote in the memorial’s guest book :

“Rwanda continues to set renewed success examples for us as Africans on how to overcome our problems”.
