The first time I heard about the Rwandan genocide was in my contemporary world history class at university. I was shocked that I never had heard about before in school. Being here in Rwanda, experiencing the life and friendness of the people. The forgiveness, after so much pain. I am without words. Having a own genocide history, the Jewish genocide as the most cruel and central past of my history, I know it is a long process to deal with the horror of this atrocity. Even three generations after it happened it is always and important to remember the victims and make sure that something like that should never happen again.
